Aviation Risk Management

Safety and the management of all risks associated with any activity on an airport is the first and foremost consideration for any professional airport management business.

IAS has a very strong safety culture throughout the organisation. We not only implement it in all of our day to day activities, we even teach it – to our staff and customers.

IAS is committed to providing the customer with the ‘best practice’ in the application of aviation safety management, and indeed, value for money. Through the management of the range of risks inherent in the IAS daily business activities, IAS can provide assurance to the customer that mutual aviation risks and potential legal exposure are heavily controlled.

The company has developed an Aviation Safety Risk Management Policy and System, which embraces the incident reporting systems of Airservices Australia, the ATSB and Defence, as well as promoting an organic safety alerting system and a closed loop incident reporting system.

IAS adopts and employs the Standards Australia AS/NZS Risk Management Standard 4360/2004. For each IAS operation, a Risk Management Plan utilising AS/NZS 4360/2004 is adopted and subject to constant monitor and review.
